Sending and Receiving Faxes in Voice360
Faxes now live right inside your Conversations page — no separate tool, no clunky upload workflow. When a fax comes in, it lands in the same place as your texts and calls. When you need to send one, it's just a couple of clicks. Here's how it works.
📥 Receiving a Fax
When someone faxes one of your numbers, the fax appears automatically in your Conversations page — right alongside your messages and calls from that same number.
You'll see a fax card in the conversation showing:
- → A fax icon and the document name
- → How many pages were received
- → A status badge (Received, Processing, or Failed)
- → A Download PDF button to save the fax to your computer
That's it — no inbox to check, no email to wait on. The fax shows up live, in the same thread as everything else from that contact.
📤 Sending a Fax

Open the conversation with the person or number you want to fax. (Or start a new one.)

Click the attachment button in the message box and pick Fax from the menu.

Drop your file into the upload area, or click to browse. Supported formats: PDF, DOC, DOCX, JPG, PNG — up to 10 MB.

Hit Send Fax. You'll see it appear in the conversation immediately, with a "Sending" status that updates to "Delivered" once it goes through.
🔔 Knowing What Happened
Every fax — sent or received — shows a clear status badge:
- → Delivered / Received — went through successfully
- → Sending / Processing — still in progress
- → Failed — something went wrong; you'll see a plain-language reason and can retry
💡 Tips
- → Faxes share the same thread as texts and calls from that number, so you have a full history of every interaction in one place.
- → Received faxes are saved automatically — you can re-download them anytime.
- → If a fax fails, the error message tells you why in plain English (e.g. "the receiving line was busy") so you know whether to retry or check the number.
